Here are some shots I took on my previous trip to Jamaica. To most people, skating in Jamaica sounds as bizarre
as the ice bobsled team, but it is in full effect and growing..fast. The kids are embracing it and showing some serious effort. I wouldnt be surprised to find that just as Jamaica harbors the worlds fastest runner, if nurtured, there may be some serious skate talent in Jamaica. Im curious to see who will be the smartest brand to pick up on this opportunity first. All the kids need is gear and funded support in return for an evolution of the sport. The kids go hard.

I recently arrived in Jamaica on assignment for the Touristboard, produced by Geejam. The first destination was the Sunrise over the Striking Blue mountain range viewed from the terrace of the villa Highgate at Strawberry Hills Hotel, an exclusive getaway 40 min. and 3100 ft. above Kingston. The hotel is but one of the five exclusive getaway spots that make up the Island Outpost family of luxury boutique hotels in Jamaica. Besides the freshest air lungs can find, Strawberry Hills owner Chris Blackwell has guaranteed one of the best soundtracks to flow with the experience, taken from his vast personal musical library of his days as founder and owner of island records. This place is a straight Rockstar, family and friends hangout and it attracts the coolest people. Nice vibes all around.
